August 22-23, 2011 - Dave, Dallas and crew continued to work on getting hardie plank in the gables. We had to make a decision on paint color over the weekend, so that James Barber could start painting it this week. Again a tough decision, but with this one we at least knew it can always be painted over. From the day we picked the kendall tudor brick we wanted to use a tan/khaki color. We tried Sherwin Williams macadamia on a test board and decided to go one shade darker and settled on Sherwin Williams Basket Beige. The trim boards are the custom white we have used on all trim boards to match Kraftmaid's dove white.
As the exterior comes together, two thumbs up to Owen Lilly for the top notch he did on framing. All the roof pitches look great and provide a lot of character to the house.
